Summer book sales, bike repair on Library Plaza

This summer you can buy books at bargain prices at three pop-up books sales, sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

The sales, held on the Library Plaza, will feature fiction, and books for kids and teens. Members of the Friends of the Library will be able to go inside to buy nonfiction. If you’re not a member, you can join at the sale, or do it now online.

Most books cost a dollar or two, with a few items specially priced. Most books for kids and teens cost even less. Cash and credit cards are accepted.

The sales will be held on Saturdays from 9 am to 2 pm:

  • June 4
  • August 6
  • September 17

On the same dates, volunteers from Gate City Bike Co-op will provide free minor repairs and adjustments on the Library Plaza to help you get your bicycle back on the road. They’ll adjust brakes and shifters, pump up tires, and replace tubes. The hours of the bike clinics are 10 am to 2 pm. Service is first come, first served.
