I love to read; I always have. I tend to choose nonfiction, but will binge-read fiction by authors like Neil Gaiman or Haruki Mirakami. I especially enjoy the short story form, and reading writers new to me. My nonfiction books tend to have Dewey Decimal call numbers in the 300s—heavy on political science and sociology, on works that touch on how we as individuals relate to each other and together get things done.
My list holds a few books that I think of as good “mind food,” works both fiction and nonfiction that have offered me perspective and challenged my worldview.
