Directions from the library


Payment methods

You have the following options for paying for parking at the library:

In the library parking lot and on Court Street

  • Use an app, PayByPhone, which you can download from the App Store or Google Play.
    • Note your location number and space number so you can enter them when prompted by the app.
    • A 32-cent fee is added to each transaction.

In the library parking lot only

  • Use the parking kiosk at the beginning of the walkway.
    • Remember your space number (NOT your location number) and go to the kiosk at the beginning of the library sidewalk.
    • Follow the directions on the kiosk. You can’t pay until you have entered your space number.
    • Coins or credit cards are accepted.
    • You do not have to display your receipt in your car.

On Court Street only

  • Use parking meters. Only coins are accepted.

Fees and time limits

The library parking lot is divided into two zones:

Zone II (blue)

Monday through Friday
9 am to 7 pm
75 cents per hour

Zone III (gray)

Monday through Friday
9 am to 6 pm
50 cents per hour

Parking is free on Saturdays and Sundays.

Handicapped parking

There are several handicapped parking spots both on Court Street and in the library parking lot. Parking is free for those with handicapped plates or placards.

Free parking for students

Anyone eligible for a Nashua Public Library card who has a valid, current high school or college ID may park in the library parking lot free for 3 hours while using the library. Present your ID at the front desk to check out a pass to put in your windshield.
