Thematic displays of materials in the library and on our website are created by library staff featuring materials that are part of the library's collection. Displays are planned, and materials selected, for one or more of the following purposes:

  • To highlight library and larger community events and programs
  • Add context to community priorities and/or challenges
  • Educate visitors and borrowers on current political, scientific or other topics
  • Introduce readers to books that have been lingering in the stacks
  • Commemorate and/or celebrate the life and work of literary and other leaders and civic figures
  • Highlight award-winning books and authors
  • Offer suggestions for new authors/series/genres

Displays are planned and organized under the supervision of the Library Director and Assistant Director; customers wishing to register feedback about a particular display are encouraged to contact the

Administration office directly before submitting a formal complaint or request for reconsideration. If after speaking with administration you still wish to submit a formal complaint, please use the attached form.
