Books by Mail
The library mails books without charge to people having disabilities that prevent them from visiting the library, or with visual impairments. Visit our Books by Mail page for more information.
The library has an extensive collection of large-print books, both fiction and nonfiction.
The library has an extensive collection of audiobooks on CD and cassette, housed downstairs in the Music/Art/Media Department.. From the library’s Web site, cardholders can also download audiobooks to their computers and certain MP3 players.
From the library’s Web site, cardholders can download e-books to any reader, including the Kindle. E-book readers allow you to enlarge text for easier reading.
An elevator is available to all public areas of the library.
The library has ADA-compliant, automatic-opening front doors.
Customers can use our magnifying machine, located in the Reference Department, to enlarge the print in reading materials.
Shopping carts are available inside the main entrance for use when browsing materials.
Talking Book Program
The New Hampshire State Library lends a variety of books and magazines, recorded by professional actors. They lend equipment to play these books and magazines and also offer special videos. More information is available on the State Library Web site.
