Interlibrary Loan Request Form

What kinds of items can we request for you through interlibrary loan?
We can request:
Periodicals/Magazines (in-house use)
Magazine articles (please place these requests by phone, (603) 589-4611)
We can not request:
Materials that we already own.
New materials that have been published in the last 6 months.
How long does it take to get the item?
If the item is available in-state, delivery usually takes about 5 days to 2 weeks. We receive in-state van deliveries two times a week. For out-of-state requests, we rely on the postal system, so items may take longer than two weeks. Delivery time may be affected by weather conditions, availability of the item at the lending library, and library closures (e.g., school breaks).
Are there any fees involved?
If the item is shipped by mail or UPS, postage to return the item must be paid for by the customer. In addition, some academic libraries charge a lending fee that can range anywhere from $10-$25 or more.
Is there a limit to how many items you may request at a time?
You may have three active interlibrary loan requests at a time.

To request an interlibrary loan, please call the reference desk at (603) 589-4611 or email reference@nashualibrary.org.
