Digitization Projects

The department has made digitization of local history materials a high priority. Our first project, which was completed in 2006, was the digitization of a historical text, Parker's History of Nashua. Read more about it here.

 

Currently, the department is undertaking a major project to digitize over 1000 historical photographs that we have on site. Right now we have catalogued and scanned almost 600 of these photos, and we hope to complete this phase of the project by the end of 2007. Eventually, we hope to make these photos available to the public online in a keyword searchable database-driven website.
